On Friday we had first time snowfall in Northern-Germany. I have made the following five photos in the morning and I was some hours in the forest...
A dark place of the forest.
A dog hunted me the whole time, you can see him at the end from the way. He was always in my proximity and observed me.
A conifer coated with snow
Another coated tree
A oak tree and blue sky
The photos are in high resolution, click on the pic...
Happy Thanksgiving to anyone who celebrate!
After Porter's comment "run turkey run" I must insert a second picture... "lol"
A further sunset at the river Elbe.
In the last days it was very cold and you could see not far, because we had dense fog. Today it was cold, but the sky was very clear.
Here is three times nearly the same photo...
a lonely jet fighter on the sky
a lonely duck in the water
thousands of crows in the sky
If you click on the pictures, you can better recognize.
The sunset was the most beautiful experience of this week, the other days were terrible and I don't mean the weather...
Children can be very kind, but children can disturb sometimes, too...
I haven't taken the picture, I would have laughed and the picture would therefore be blurred.
Last week I had a flu, but I also have made a couple of pictures. I was in the Sachsenwald and this is the biggest woodland of Schleswig-Holstein. I live only ten minutes remotely and the forest is very beautiful. The forest belong to the descendants of the famous Otto von Bismarck. Bismarck was the first chancellor of the German Empire. Bismarck got the forest as a present from emperor Wilhelm I of Germany on June 24th, 1871.
This old cobblestone street in the Sachsenwald leads to the railroad station Friedrichsruh and Bismarck's manor is on the left side.
Bismarck died in Friedrichsruh on July 30th, 1898. This is a small part from his manor and he is buried in this building. These are not stains on the picture, it's floating leaves in the air...
This is the railroad station Friedrichsruh and Bismarck accept many famous personalities at this place.
In the forest is a memorial stone for the soldiers killed in action from the battleship Bismarck . Godmother of the ship was Dorothea von Loewenfeld, the granddaughter from Otto von Bismarck. On the iron cross is written: For the death comrades from the battleship Bismarck - May 27th, 1941. The family crest from the Bismarck's is in the middle of the cross.
Left side: To honor for the soldiers Right side: As a reminder for us Below: 2371 men have stayed with their ship on the sea
Only 115 men has survived the sinking of the battleship Bismarck.
This bridge leads to a little island on a lake in Bismarck's park.
This figure show Otto von Bismarck. It is on the island and he has often sat at this place.
A look of the island, the sky is mirrored in the water.
Another view from the island.
A butterfly outside in the park. The countess von Bismarck has also a building with tropical climate and thousand of butterflies live there. I have taken many pictures in the building. I had a flu, the damp and very hot air wasn't good for my health...
This is a Mitrailleuse "Le General Malus" and this weapon is similar as the Gatling gun.
This weapon was built 1865 in Lyon and captured 1870 in the war against France. Since the end of the year 1872 the weapon belongs to Bismarck, it was a present from emperor Wilhelm I.
The student Ferdinand Cohen-Blind committed an assassination of Bismarck on May 7th, 1866 in Berlin. The used weapon in the crime is on the left side. The stuffed undershirt from Bismarck is on the right side, only two of the five fired shots hit him in the chest.
From the most interesting and most valuable objects, unfortunately, I don't have any pictures.
Enough German history...
