You would be surprised at how badly a lot (ahem, "most") Americans are at spelling their own language! There are lots of people who really don't know the difference between "there", "their", and "they're", or who spell "principle" as "principal". So don't feel bad about your English! :D And as for the word order, don't overthink things. A lot of the time it's very similar to German.
